Just what kind of website improvements are coming up?

Somebody asked the other day "Why should I sign up for your e-mail updates? Just what kind of website improvements are coming up that I'd want to know about?"

Good question!

So far, we've listed several pages worth of books from our Glass Library. Each title is linked (or soon will be) to Amazon.com's network of independent booksellers, so you can find copies to add to your own library.

A lot of the book listings include brief reviews or our own comments about the book. Our main current update task is to get all of the titles linked and reviewed, so you can make an informed decision about actually spending money to get a copy of your own.

We've got more Reprints in the works. Great stuff for lampworkers, glass painters, glass blowers, and collectors. We're putting together a survey so we can find out from YOU just what you'd like to see us put back in print next. It's not quite ready to go yet, but you can tell us what you'd like to see anytime by adding a comment right here on our blog.

Glasswear - Yes, that says glass-WEAR, as in things to wear. You know, stuff like T-shirts, caps, tank tops, and other neat stuff everyone needs. We've got some terrific old cards, prints, engravings, and interesting glass-related objects. We want to keep the originals, but we're planning to share the images with you on all kinds of wearable items.

Our new updated website has been up for a little over a week now. We're still finding broken links, unfinished links, and a few other minor bugs. Thanks to those of you who've pointed them out, and who've tipped us to some new things to add.

It looks like the next wave of improvements will be ready about mid-June. Stay posted. We'll tell you about it here second (right after we send out our email Updates). It's live! The new, revised and expanded Fledgling Studio website is now up and running.

We've checked all of the links (we think) and everything seems to be working OK.

There's a new format with lots more glass books and a bunch of new glass links. We plan to be more on top of things from now on, so that there will be new stuff to discover every time you visit (well, almost...).
